I still think you should be able to have 3 or so BP ready to go material-wise (so it is a little storage). I could see it bring pvp to interest.įor your thread, I agree that the storage functionality is a bit of a shame.

I think it would be nice having a defence sorta deal going on. if no player is around, they won't get shot to smitterines, because turrets doesn't work when no player is around) But aslong as base-defences are still sufficient, and they play by the same rule as bases (ie. it kinda sounds extremely boring, for those huuuge bp's with a silly completion time. Best tactic for destroying bases is spawn artillery tower in front of it. This adds importance to shipyard type buildings and prevents 1 second siege towers as someone can get there and blow it up before its done. When blueprint is started ship/base model appears at that location and is being built by flying drones (like player ones) in same time it does now. To prevent adding many new things like shipyard blocks etc (yet) spawning them should be simple. Ship done (you can do whatever while its building): Placing blueprint and adding resources to it:īlueprint placed unfinished ship (completely unfinished), drone starts building ship (in same time factory does now - but wherever you placed it): Here is a picture show of what suggestion might look like ingame:
STARMADE SHIPYARD TUTORIAL FREE

Change to expensive ship again whenever you need more free storage. It says you have 250000/1000 iron ingots. Change blueprint to what you wanted to build. Now go and add resources for it but dont build it.Go ahead and find most expensive ship in workshop. In case someone doesnt know what exploit this is about here is a tutorial: Obviously there needs to be minimum build time depending on normal build time to prevent 1 second blueprints of huge things by adding components to blueprint. Yeah we like having something built quick in case we are stuck somewhere, thats why you carry components to build it faster, not 100 finished ships in pocket. It should not let you put more resources than needed in blueprint (like now), you shouldnt be able to change blueprint after resources are added or it moves them to inventory. Place a blueprint then place another while other is building. You can even build more than one at a time like this because its not only one factory. And blueprints are used to store hundreds of thousands of ingots which is not what theyre supposed to be (free storage). Blueprints shouldnt be able to be spawned in middle of nowhere in a second.
